Dr. Ajay Gupta
Neurology, Pediatrics, and Adult
Ajay Gupta, M.D. is the head of the section of Pediatric Epilepsy in the Epilepsy Center/Neurological Institute. He is a professor at The Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University. He is also the founder and director of the multidisciplinary Tuberous Sclerosis Program at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Gupta is an expert in the field of childhood and adolescent epilepsy with an emphasis on epilepsy surgery evaluation, management of complex childhood epilepsies, and neurocutaneous disorders such as Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and Sturge-Weber syndrome. Dr. Gupta is also a skilled specialist in intra-operative neurophysiological techniques used during brain surgery to map regions of the brain for critical function. His expertise attracts national and international consultations from families and practicing Neurologists who seek a second opinion for complex cases. Dr. Gupta is recognized by the Consumers' Research Council's 'Top Physicians of America", Marquis’ "Who's Who in America", and the “Best Doctors in America”.
Dr. Gupta serves on the professional and scientific committees of the American Epilepsy Society, the Child Neurology Society, and the International League against Epilepsy. He serves on the editorial board of prestigious journals in the field, of ‘Pediatric Neurology’ and Epilepsy Currents’. Dr. Gupta also works on the Professional and Scientific Board of the U.S. Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance. He serves on the peer-review panel of national and international journals in the field of epilepsy. He is a fellow member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy Society, Child Neurology Society, International Child Neurology Association, and American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Gupta has made innovative and pioneering contributions to advance the field of epilepsy surgery and the treatment of epilepsy in children. A unique disease is named after him as a co-discoverer. His research interests are epilepsy surgery evaluation tools and outcomes, Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, and the impact of epilepsy on brain development. He has authored over 150 original research articles, and review papers in peer-reviewed international journals, as well as textbooks. He is an avid mentor of resident and fellow trainees including visiting international fellows and junior faculty. Some of the trainees have received highly competitive awards and honors for their mentored research projects such as the Junior Investigator Research Awards at the American Epilepsy Society and Child Neurology Society, and the Thomas Epilepsy Award at the Cleveland Clinic Neuroscience Research competition. Many trainees currently hold faculty positions at prestigious universities and hospitals in the US and abroad. Dr. Gupta has also organized, chaired, and directed many symposia, workshops, and seminars at scientific national and international conferences. He is the Director of the annual Epilepsy Course organized at the Cleveland Clinic. He is an invited faculty to many national and international meetings to deliver lectures, workshops, and skills training.

Dr. Elias Traboulsi
Pediatric and Adult Ophthalmology
Elias Traboulsi, MD, is Head of the Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Director of the Center for Genetic Eye Diseases at Cleveland Clinic's Cole Eye Institute. He is a Professor of Ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and Director of the Ophthalmology Residency Program at Cleveland Clinic. He is also the Director of the Department of Graduate Medical Education at Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Traboulsi is the Executive Vice-President of the International Society for Genetic Eye Disease and Retinoblastoma and Editor-In-Chief of Ophthalmic Genetics. He also serves on the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Ophthalmology.
He is a frequent guest speaker at national and international meetings and the author of more than 300 scientific articles and book chapters. His book on Genetic Diseases of the Eye, published by Oxford University Press in 1999, is one of the major references on this topic.
Dr. Traboulsi's clinical and research interests include the management and genetics of strabismus and congenital cataracts, and the nosology of ophthalmic and general medical genetic disorders and syndromes. He has a special interest in ocular developmental biology and ocular malformations, retinal dystrophies, childhood glaucoma, and other common and rare ocular diseases of children.
Dr. Anzar Haider
Pediatric and Adult Endocrinology
Anzar Haider, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Endocrine Section at the Pediatric Institute. He has been board-certified in pediatric endocrinology since 1992.
Dr. Haider's research interests include growth, puberty, thyroid, adrenal, calcium and vitamin D disorders, and diabetes in children. He has published and presented several papers on these topics. He is currently involved in research in diabetes prevention and treatment in children, outcomes studies in adolescents with Graves' disease treated with radioactive iodine, growth factors, and the genetics and neuroendocrinology of short stature.
Dr. Adnan Alsadah

Adnan Alsadah, MD, is a Staff Physician in Cleveland Clinic’s Genomic Medicine Institute. He sees patients on Main Campus.
Dr. Alsadah is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. He earned his medical degree from the King Faisal University College of Medicine in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. His post-graduate training in the United States includes a pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of the University of Illinois and a clinical fellowship in medical genetics at Benioff Children’s Hospital, which is affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Alsadah has published research articles in distinguished journals, including the American Journal of Human Genetics and the Journal of Pediatrics, and has presented at professional association meetings, including the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics and the American Society of Human Genetics.
His specialty interests include general genetics pediatric genetics, prenatal genetics, and cardiovascular genetics. Dr. Alsadah has particular interest and expertise in whole exome sequencing as a model of patient care.
Neurosurgeon
William E. Bingaman, MD, is Vice-Chairman of the Neurological Institute and Head of the Section of Epilepsy Surgery at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Bingaman’s clinical interests are in the surgical treatment of adult and pediatric epilepsy, with a special interest in hemispheric epilepsy. He also is interested in spinal surgery and maintains a busy clinical practice.
Dr. Bingaman attended undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University and graduated from Temple University Medical School in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his residency in neurosurgery at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, completed his fellowship training in spinal neurosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic, and joined the faculty of Cleveland Clinic in 1997.
He has authored more than 150 scientific papers and book chapters. Currently, he is an ad hoc reviewer for Neurosurgery and epilepsy.
Dr. Bingaman remains dedicated to teaching and participates in the medical student Preceptor Program and has been named Neurosurgical Teacher of the Year three times in the past 10 years.
Dr. Bingaman maintains active research collaborations with Imad Najm and Damir Janigro, supplying human cortical tissue for a variety of epilepsy research projects.
He is an active member of many professional organizations including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Epilepsy Society, the Ohio State Neurosurgical Society, and the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies. Additionally, Dr. Bingaman has held leadership positions in several national neurosurgical organizations including the Executive Committee of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Past Chair of the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies, Board member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Board member of the American Neurosurgery Political Action Committee and Past President of the Ohio State Neurosurgical Society.

Dr. Camille Sabella
Infectious Disease
Camille Sabella, MD, practices pediatric infectious diseases and is the Director of the Center for Pediatric Infectious Diseases in the Pediatrics Institute and Cleveland Clinic Children's. He is also a Professor of Pediatrics at the Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Sabella is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases by the American Board of Pediatrics. His clinical interests include pediatric and neonatal infectious diseases, viral infections, infections in transplant recipients and other immunocompromised patients, and immunizations. His research interests include the immune responses of transplant recipients, infections in immunocompromised patients, hospital-acquired infections, and viral infections.
Dr. Sabella has garnered numerous awards throughout his career, including the Chairman’s Award for Commitment to Education in the Division of Pediatrics, and the Excellence in Teaching Award, both from Cleveland Clinic Children's.
Dr. Doksu Moon
Neuro Radiology
Doksu Moon, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Department of Radiology, located on the main campus of Cleveland Clinic. He was appointed in 2002 following completion of a fellowship in neuroradiology. He currently serves as a Staff Neuroradiologist at seven hospitals in the Cleveland area, as well as Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Moon is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology. His special interests are CT angiography, MRI, diagnostic cerebral angiography, and myelography.
Dr. Moon received his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine, and then served as Chief Resident in the Department of Radiology of Cleveland Clinic. He is licensed to practice medicine in 11 states including Ohio.
He is the Principal Investigator of a multicenter research project to study desmoteplase, a clot-busting synthetic by-product that could extend the therapeutic window for effective treatment up to nine hours after a stroke.
